Placing an order: what happens at each stage

Five stages from the order form to the delivery report, and the two where you are involved.

An order has five stages. You are involved in the first two, and optionally in the fourth. The rest is our work.

1. Fill in the order form

Open the page for the service you want: sales pages, blog articles or dedicated blog. The form at the bottom of each page asks three things.

  • How much you need. One piece, a pack or a bundle. See Packs and bundles.
  • Your service level. Standard, Pro or Complete, depending on whether you want to approve drafts. See Standard, Pro or Complete.
  • Who you are and what you need. Name and email are required. Phone, business name, industry and website are optional. A text box takes your brief. Article orders have one more question: should the articles go on our blog network or on your own dedicated blog?

Your running total is shown on the form as you choose. Then press Review & pay.

2. Check the total and pay

Submitting the form saves your order. It does not charge you. The next screen is a confirmation page. It states the exact total and links to a secure hosted checkout. The same link is in your confirmation email, so you can pay straight away or come back later.

If you want to change the scope or ask about the price, reply to the confirmation email before paying. A person answers within about one business day. See Paying for your order.

3. Production

Work starts when your payment clears. Within about one business day after that, we send you a confirmed delivery date.

We look into your offer, your buyers, what competitors promise and the keywords people actually search. Then we write the piece and, for pages, design it. Facts from your brief are used as given. Anything you did not tell us, we ask about or leave off rather than invent.

4. Checks, and your approval if you chose it

Every piece goes through an automated review before it can be published. A piece that fails is returned to our production team and fixed. It is never handed to you as a problem to solve. See Quality checks before anything is published.

On Pro and Complete, each piece then comes to you as a draft and is published only when you approve it. On Standard it is published as soon as it passes.

5. Live, with a report

We publish to the destination named in your order and send you a delivery report in three formats: a browser page, a PDF file and a plain-text list of links. The report link has no expiry date. See Reading your delivery report.
